...How can we possibly move on and grow as a nation, when we ourselves are hindering the very growth of our own country...
...It’s an irony in its simplest sense: People keep on questioning their intentions at the same time keep on blustering how impotent they are at their jobs...
...Think about it, if these people who are questioned with anomaly are called to be investigated have clean conscience and has nothing to hide, a little examination and inquiry won’t hurt right?
Over the years, we
find ourselves questioning our nation’s progress; asking ourselves if we did
the right thing in designating these people in their positions. We scrutinize
them 24/7 for the main reason that they serve as the bridge of our country’s
progress; our voice over the hundred thousand nations around the world; our shining embodiment of hope for the nation’s growth. Is it wrong? Definitely not. What is
worse than an apathetic citizen of its own country, who goes on with his daily
life without a trace of concern of its occurrences? Don’t get me wrong, we all
do have a say of what is happening and how things are taking place in our very
land. This is no one-man country you know. We are characterized as a nation
having “free and equal participation”. But I believe there is a huge difference
in “taking part” and being sympathetic over crucial matters that concerns the
nation and being nosey and giving unconstructive comments.
How can we possibly move
on and grow as a nation, when we ourselves are hindering the very growth of our
own country. We have never or I would say, barely given these officials and
departments a chance to do its job without criticizing their intentions. Perhaps,
the rifts between political parties play a significant role in how we deal with
these matters. But then again, these differences over political views will
never head off; they were here as far as history could narrate us, bleak as the truth is, it will here to stay, whether we like it or not. How can we
possibly develop if we give full concentration to these political disputes?
Without a doubt, I believe, that this is the core of the troubling minds we
have over things that should concern us. We will never move on. Sad but true.
Indeed, there’s nothing wrong in taking part and questioning the process and
intentions, that’s what good citizens of a country are expected to do. We all
do have our own opinions and we are entitled to them. But If this is how we
conduct ourselves in every actions the government is partaking, we will never
go far as a nation. It’s an irony in its simplest sense: People keep on questioning their intentions at the same time keep on blustering how impotent
they are at their jobs.
No one can ever please
everybody. It is just an impossible task for anyone to achieve. So how do we
deal with this mayhem? Probably, let’s begin at the simplest thing there is
that we can have direct access to -- ourselves. Let’s be open-minded over
things and give these people a chance to perform what is jotted down in their
job descriptions. Should we just hand them everything and not take part? No.
I’m not saying to be all indifferent about it. An open-eye is still essential. Why don't we give these officers a chance to do what they’re ought to do. Setting
aside what political party they belong to. Think about it, if these people who
are questioned with anomaly are called to be investigated have clean conscience
and has nothing to hide, a little examination and inquiry won’t hurt
right?
